It is estimated that more than 80 percent of Americans will experience lower back pain in their lifetime. Join physical therapist and yoga therapist, Emily Large, to learn simple yet potent evidence-based and non-pharmacological methods that optimize health, reduce pain and improve function. Expect to build strength and flexibility in the lower back, sacrum and hips with specific therapeutic sequences, as well as diminish stress with breathing techniques and mental focus specific for this region of the body.
Who can attend?
No previous yoga experience is necessary. Techniques are easy to learn, succinct yet potent, accessible for all body types, accessible for all physical capabilities. "If you can breathe, then you can do this yoga," Gary Kraftsow.
This course is appropriate for those who suffer from pain or dysfunction in this region of the body, physical therapy practitioners, occupational therapy practitioners, yoga therapists, yoga teachers, massage therapists and personal trainers. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
